Antique Chinese Export lacquered tea mother of pearl wooden box trunk XL 1840s. Super hard to find BIG Chinese export tea box. Probably had a tin insert at one time to hold the tea.

This is cloth lined on the inside with mother Pearl overlay on the outside. Does have quite a few condition issues that will need some understanding. Hinge and lid work as they should. Has quite a few dents and dings, cracked across lid, and some mother of pearl missing. Box itself is still quite sturdy. This is a functional piece you could store things in it at home. This one seems larger than the other one that I found at 1st dibs. Very difficult to photograph but it's quite beautiful in the right light as the Pearl glistens.
