Antique Chinese Wooden Red Gilt Shrine Altar Box / Stand w Black Lacquer, 19th c

Length: 13" (330 mm), Depth: 5.25" (133 mm), Height: 6.6 (167 mm). Length of the bottom: 12.5" (318 mm), Depth of the bottom: 4.75" (121 mm), Height:10.5 (267 mm). When it is displayed, the altar rests on the box. The box doubles as a cover and as a stand for the altar. The total height is 17 (432 mm) when the altar is displaying on the cover.

There are twelve small Foo Dogs carved on the lower part of the altar, and six of them are rotating dogs. It is in very good condition for its age. There is some wear to the surface.

There are some small chips, hairline cracks and a little paint losses. A small stick on the lower part of the altar has been glued. Thank you for visiting my store.
