Japan WAJIMA Lacquer Wooden Tea caddy Tsuta no Hosomichi makie Natsume (1205)

Tsuta no Hoshomichi image in makie / WAJIMA-nuri. Is an old road through the Ivy at Mt. Utsu near Okabe at Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. Tsuta no Hosomichi where Ivy had spread all over the dark and empty road appeared in Japanese Heian period (794 to 1185), Waka poem.

The road reminded travelers of beloved at long distance. Since then, many Japanese cultured person thoughts went to that Tsuta no Hosomichi. This is in an Excellent condition with signed Wooden box. This piece of measures: 2.835 inched (7.2 cm) in diameter.
